Art Critique

1. I see a man who shot and killed himself with some type of gun.

2. The color is mostly dull and gray, the texture looks mostly rough, and there are many straight lines and shapes.

3. The overall mood of this painting is disapointing because it looks like the guy shot himself and is laying dead.

4. I think this piece is successful because there is a lot of emotion in the painting and there is really just one way to judge this piece because there doesn't look like there is anything positive in this painting.

Melodrama

Melodrama was the most popular theatre in the 18th century and it is still active today. They were usually romantic, exotic, or supernatural. Melodrama can be found in suspenseful situations. It usually has a hero and villian theme.

Spring Break

I really didn't do a whole lot of stuff over spring break this year. The first weekend of spring break we traveled to Louisville and watched the final four games with my aunt and uncle. I wanted Butler to beat Uconn in the final game because this was the second year in a row they made it all the way. On Sunday I played golf with my uncle and I think that was the day when the wind was blowing at an average speed of 30 miles per hour. That made it very hard to play and we did not score well. We also did a few other things in Louisville with my family. The rest of the week I just relaxed at my dad's house and did stuff around the house and the city. I think our vacation will be over summer break this year.
