Video comparison

Left painting:
1. I see a creature eating something that looks like a small human body.
2. The color of this piece is very dull and dark. There are also many straight lines and many different shapes.
3. I think the artist made the mood of this piece scary and very negative. There is really nothing positive or funny about this piece.
4. I think this is succesful if the artist was trying to make a negative piece.

Right painting:
1. I see a person that is exhausted from writing something.
2. The value of this piece is a lot brighter and more colorful. The texture looks some in most places and there many different lines and shapes.
3. I think the mood of this piece is also negative. It looks like the man in the painting is tired from righting so much and it almost looks like there is a little blood.
4. I think this piece can also be succesful but I don't really see a meaning to this piece.

-I think the piece on the right is romanticism because it has rich color and the piece on the left does not have musch color and is very dull. But, the piece on the left could also be romanticism because the tone is not very calm and there is a lot of emotion in the painting.

Neoclassicism vs. Romanticism

http://animoto.com/play/imXMJsVrtJrUcmGVymZJxg

-oath of the horatii- J.L. David

-Le Sermant de I'armee- J.L. David

-The Chawed Rosen- Ingres

-Joan of Arc at the Coronation of Charles VII-
Ingres

-I prefer Romanticism art over neoclassical art because Romanticism pieces include more emotion and color. Neoclassical pieces are calmer and less colorful. The music we chose fit the slideshow and paintings the best out of all the other choices. We selected each individual painting because it was the most elite and easily showed the contrast between neoclassical art and Romanticism art. The categories we chose were value, tone, and composition. We chose these categories because we thought they were the most important of all. My favorite painting is Le Sermant De I’armee because of all the action going on in the painting.

-The right side of your brain controls the left side of your body. In addition to being known as right-brained, you are also known as a creative thinker who uses feeling and intuition to gather information. You retain this information through the use of images and patterns. You are able to visualize the "whole" picture first, and then work backwards to put the pieces together to create the "whole" picture. Your thought process can appear quite illogical and meandering. The problem-solving techniques that you use involve free association, which is often very innovative and creative. The routes taken to arrive at your conclusions are completely opposite to what a left-brained person would be accustomed. You probably find it easy to express yourself using art, dance, or music. Some occupations usually held by a right-brained person are forest ranger, athlete, beautician, actor/actress, craftsman, and artist.

-I think it is accurate. Some of the sub categories might not be completely accurate, for example, the left brain symbolic says that I probably hated algebra but I didn't; I actually liked algebra I, but I did not like geometry.

Mozart

The cause of Mozart's death is not completely known for sure. The most likely cause was a high intermittent fever. According to Mozart, he thought he died from some kind of poisoning. Other possibilities could have been tuberculosis mengitis, strep throat infection, some kind of kidney disease, or even just because of poverty and priviation. I think it was some kind of poisoning for writing music too much or too long. Also in the movie he was always drinking some kind of alcohol so it could have been alcohol poisoning.
